Wood chips are mainly used as a raw material for the wood processing industry and as a biogenic and regenerative fuel for biomass heating. They consist of 100% wood and are a by-product of local forestry and forestry. As a regional product, they are not only inexpensive and stable in price compared to other fuels, but also readily available and sustainable.
Wood chips are delivered loose and then with conveyed by a screw conveyor to the storage room provided for this purpose.
The storage of wood chips requires a comparatively large amount of space. A wood chip heating system is therefore suitable for larger buildings.
